CLOVIS, N.M. -- The Clovis Police Department dispatch center was flooded with calls for help after a gunman reportedly opened fire on Aug. 28 at the Clovis-Carver Public Library.

Dispatch received calls from people outside the library and calls even came in from inside as people hid from the gunman in closets and rooms. KOB obtained the 911 calls on Monday.

Other calls were from people who had friends and family inside the library that day, all concerned for the safety of their loved ones.

KOB spoke with one caller who was inside the library at the time of the shooting. They didn't want to go on camera but said it was a call they wish they never had to make.
