But the Lobo defense has been just as bad the last two weeks. The team has surrendered 38 points in each of its last two games, and has given up an average of just under 27 points per game so far this season.
The Lobos say their focus this week against Colorado State is to be more physical on that side of the ball.
“You won’t see the same team that we were last week,” said Lobo safety Bijon Parker. “You won’t see that same team again. It’s going to be a whole new team this week; more physical and everything.”
“I think we’ve got some competitive guys and some competitive coaches,” head coach Bob Davie added. “I think we’ll continue to compete on that side of the ball.”
Friday’s game against the Rams is scheduled to kick off at 8:15 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN2.
