The Lobos went head to head with Anthony Mathis showing off his range and newcomer Troy Simons also scoring a few baskets. The Lobos press looked great and could be a real key to this season.

"It was really good to get out in front of fans, give guys a first look at the team," forward Sam Logwood said. "Obviously we have a lot to work on. It's a taste of how we want to play as a team, as a unit. It was fun for the community to come out."

All in all, new head coach Paul Weir liked what saw and he thinks he'll do it again.

"Basketball-wise, it's tremendous to get on a court with officials, with cameras, with people, with music," he said. "It's a completely different simulation than what happens in practice, and those you can get those exercises. It really pushes forward as a team because we learn about these players as individuals."
